Update on masks at services, effective April 19, 2022:

Temple Aliyah holds the health and safety of our community as our greatest priority. In alignment with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health and the CDC, masks are no longer required to be worn at Temple Aliyah services but are encouraged and recommended in indoor public spaces.  We will continue providing sufficient space to allow for social distancing by those who wish to do so.

Additionally, if you or a household member is not feeling well or has any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our livestream services and programming options. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our community healthy and safe.

Update on Covid protocol at ECE, effective June 28th, 2022:

Our Current Covid policy based on requirements and recommendations from the LA County Department of Public Health, our Covid Committee and the ECE administration is:

- Masks are required for unvaccinated individuals volunteering in classrooms.

For a Positive Covid Case, you must quarantine and isolate at home for 5 days. Even if you are asymptomatic, you should be isolating at home. You may return to school on Day 6, as long as you:

  1. Have no symptoms and are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication or symptoms have greatly improved.
  2. Test negative on Day 5 with an antigen test.
  3. Wear a mask indoors at school for 5 more days. (Total of 10 days)

You can choose to stay out for the full 10 days (without testing) and return as long as you are fever-free for 24 hours with no symptoms or symptoms have greatly improved.

For a Case of Covid in a Classroom or On-Campus Exposure*

  • There is no longer a quarantine period required for exposure as long as you are symptom-free.
  • The classroom will remain open for students and staff.
  • We require a negative antigen test (at-home test is acceptable) on day 5 after exposure.
  • Masks will be required indoors for all children and teachers for 10 days from the day of exposure. (Day of exposure is day 0)

For Exposure* Off Campus:

  • For unvaccinated individuals, we require a 5-day quarantine period from last exposure with a negative test on day 5 or later.
  • It is strongly recommended that individuals remain masked indoors for an additional 5 days.

*Per LADPH - Close contact occurs when you are within 6 feet of a positive individual for 15 minutes or more within a 24-hour period.
